                      returns quilt
"Harmony Hill"
in. x 92 in.)

"I made this quilt for my son when he was 12; he picked out most of the fabrics from swatches.  For the first time I used paper piecing on a large scale and loved it.  Arranging the colors and shading to create a secondary design were my main creative challenges.  I call the quilt Harmony Hill because that was the name of the dairy farm on which I grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania and the colors remind me of the earth, grass, sky, and red barns there."
